Guided Fly Fishing Tasmania
Trout Tours & Charters in Wild Tasmanian Waters
Welcome to Tasmania Fly Fishing — your home for guided fly fishing in Tasmania, with local experienced guides offering some of the most enjoyable fly fishing tours in Tasmania. We take anglers, both new and experienced, through wild trout waters that are as scenic as they are challenging.
Based in Launceston, our tours explore local rivers and lakes, the rugged waters of the Central Highlands of Tasmania, remote backcountry creeks, and the beautiful private fishery at Currawong Lakes. These waters mostly hold wild brown trout — and occasionally rainbows — all of them as cunning as they are beautiful. Chasing them offers something deeper than just numbers.
Whether you’re picking up a fly rod for the first time or refining your skills in new water, we offer guided fly fishing tours tailored to your level, goals, and curiosity. If you’re willing to give it a proper go, we’ll do everything we can to help you connect with the fish, the landscape — and the joy of the experience itself.
👉 See our Rates & Tours page for current details, or review Tasmania’s trout fishing regulations for licensing information.

Meet Your Tasmanian Fly Fishing Guide
I’m Scott Murphy, a lifelong Tasmanian angler and full-time guide. I personally handle all bookings, and we’ll communicate clearly from the outset — by phone, email, WhatsApp or Zoom — so you’ll know exactly what to expect and how to prepare.
We don’t do hype. The trout here are wild, the weather can shift, and nothing’s guaranteed. But come with a spirit of curiosity and appreciation, and you’ll leave with more than just a fish story — you’ll leave with a real experience.
